My Objectives

  • Connect users with local dry cleaners for effortless laundry service.
  • Create a recognizable and impactful brand identity.
  • Develop a user-friendly app and website for businesses and individuals.
  • Ensure transparency and reliability in the laundry process.
02. Discovery

From the beginning, Londri aimed to be straightforward and intuitive. The branding approach focused on creating a strong logomark, rather than emphasizing the name itself. The goal was to develop an instantly recognizable symbol, similar to the branding power of Apple, Nike, and Target.

Through multiple iterations of wordmarks and logo designs, the team settled on an industrial washer-inspired symbol—a perfect fit for the dry-cleaning industry. This distinctive logo reinforced Londri’s mission while maintaining a modern, professional aesthetic.

03. Development

Londri catered to both dry cleaning businesses and individual customers, leading to the development of distinct platforms:

  • Website: Designed with two sections—one for dry cleaning businesses and another for individual customers. The website remained simple and mission-driven, featuring email signups and essential business information.
  • Mobile App: Built specifically for individuals seeking a seamless dry-cleaning experience. Users could:
    • Search for local dry cleaners
    • Select a preferred provider
    • Create and track orders from start to finish

04. Lessons Learned

Through extensive user testing in Houston, Londri gathered valuable feedback from both customers and dry cleaners, shaping the platform’s development. Transparency became a cornerstone, with features like damage and stain documentation ensuring dry cleaners could log pre-existing conditions, fostering accountability and customer trust. Additionally, a minimalist approach to branding and interface design proved to be highly effective, creating a more intuitive and seamless experience for users.
